Changing of aluminium rivets to Stainless steel rivets to ensure the casement window panel does not get detached from friction stays due to weakened aluminium rivets. Check that your rivets, screws and friction stays are not broken, loose or rusty.

You can use a mirror to check the stainless steel screws/rivets (There should be a minimum of three) on the top and underside of the window panel.

To install the following:

1. Polyethylene sliding window self-locking safety device (2 nos. per panel)

2. Synthetic resin stoppers at top of window outer frame
– minimum 2 nos. per panel width and repeat the same along the track
– The stopper shall be fastened with stainless steel grade 304 or equivalent rivet/screw of minimum 4 mm diameter

3. Aluminium bottom outer frame with fixed angle facing outside

* Dimension “b” shall be minimum 1.5 times dimension “a” [refer to drawing]

Sliding Panel Maximum width not exceeding 1.2 m

Timber Louver Window Safety  Check the windows to ensure that the timber frame is in good condition; tightened and not damaged in any way. Use a mirror to check blind spots. Glass panes should be replaced when cracked or are loose in any way.

Adjustable Aluminium Louver Window Safety These windows however secure, need to be constantly checked that the frames are not loose and glass panes can be easily removed. Check the windows to ensure that lever lock is never loose and works as intended, and that the glass panes and frames themselves are not damaged.
